What I Do

Individual Counseling for Achieving Health through Nutrition

Do you suffer from high blood sugars? Do you have low energy or brain fog?  Do you crave sugar all the time? Are you bloated? Do you have joint or muscle pains or difficulty losing weight? Hippocrates once said, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food."  No truer words have been spoken.  Our standard American diet may be the underlying cause why you are suffering and not able to achieve a sense of wellness.  I am passionate about teaching my clients simple ways using whole, real foods to improve their quality of life.    I focus on the whole person and use integrative and nutritional therapies to help you heal.

Sugar Detox Program

The average American consumes over 150 pounds of added sugar each year. This, along with regular consumption of processed flour and grains, can cause blood sugar swings which can affect our mood as well as our ability to lose weight. It can also affect our health. Excess sugar has been linked to many chronic health conditions including obesity, heart disease, cancer and diabetes. This 5 week long program is comprised of three distinct phases which help to eliminate sugar cravings without harsh detoxing side effects.  Participants  receive shopping lists, meal and snack suggestions, food samples and recipes.  In addition, group support is provided at the weekly meetings and through a private Facebook Page.  Join the over 250 people who have successfully completed the course.

This program is available as a Corporate Wellness Program for local businesses.

Pre Diabetes Bootcamp

Over 85 million Americans have Pre Diabetes and less than 10% know it.  If you have excess body weight, are inactive, have a family history of Type 2 diabetes and/or are over the age of 45, then you might be one of them.   In fact, one of every two Americans over the age of 60 are at risk. Pre diabetes can be a reversible condition and this course teaches you about lifestyle choices that effect your personal risk.  Past participants have successfully lowered blood sugars, lost weight, improved their quality of sleep and feel energized. This 5 week long program is designed for those who currently have pre diabetes or at risk for developing pre diabetes  and are ready to make lifestyle changes to reduce their risk for diabetes.  Press the Risk Test button below to determine your personal risk for pre diabetes.
